Independent means the shelf is chosen here and the price is set here, and the person who sold you the tool is the one who answers when you ring. It changes what lands in your hand.
GearWrench is the bread and butter here: ratchets, sockets, the 120XP. It covers the length and breadth of a workshop. We lead with it because it earns its place. And if you'd rather have a Knipex Cobra in the drawer, or a Stahlwille torque wrench on the bench, just say the word. They come off the truck just as easily. Your call, not ours.
Twenty years in this trade, one owner, one mobile number. You're not re-explaining your workshop to a new rep every eighteen months, and you're not sitting in an 0800 queue to order a socket. Call the number at the top of this page and you get the person who sold you the tool.
Break something, ring us. We deal with the brand, file the claim and chase it up. Some want photos of the failure, some want the tool back, and we'll tell you which before you go to any trouble. Most of what we carry runs a lifetime or long-term manufacturer warranty. The brand makes the final call, but the paperwork is ours and you are not the one sitting on hold.
What you pay covers the tool and getting it to you. You get a written quote with the number on it before you commit to anything, and the price doesn't move afterwards. Ask what something costs and you get a number, not a visit.

04 · How it works
Phone, email, or the form at the bottom of this page. A part number is ideal. A photo of the worn-out tool works. So does "something that'll shift a 19 mm nut off a rusted exhaust flange". We've been asked worse.
Real pricing, real availability. If the exact item is six weeks away, we'll say so and tell you what we'd put in your hand instead, rather than taking the order and going quiet.
In the Bay of Plenty, or the parts of the Waikato we reach, it comes off the truck next time we're past you. Anywhere else in New Zealand, it goes on a courier. Either way you're told the day, not left guessing.

Yes, trade only. We supply workshops, fleets, marine yards, contractors and other businesses in the trade. Everything here is set up for people who use these tools to earn a living, not for retail walk-ins.
A regular run across the Bay of Plenty and parts of the Waikato. One truck can't reach every corner of it yet, so we'd rather tell you straight than have you waiting on a visit that isn't coming. Send your workshop address through the enquiry form and we'll tell you whether you're on the run, which day we're closest and roughly what time. If you're not on it, everything still ships to you by courier.
Yes, and that goes for anywhere, including the parts of the Waikato the truck doesn't reach yet. Everything ships nationwide by courier, and plenty of our orders go to workshops we've never physically parked outside. One truck can't cover New Zealand, but freight can, so get in touch wherever you are.
No. A single socket is a legitimate order and gets the same quote turnaround as a full kit-out. Freight is worked out per order and it's on the quote before you agree to anything, so there are no surprises at the end.

Usually, yes. The ten brands on this page are what's on the truck day to day, not the ceiling of what we can order. If it's a legitimate professional tool, ask. Sourcing is a normal part of the job here, not a special favour.

As quick as one person can get to it, and often the same day. DNA Tools is one man and one truck though, so if your enquiry lands mid-run it waits until the truck stops, and a busy run can push it to the next working day. If it's genuinely urgent, say so and it goes to the top of the pile.
